Note 1. Two posts and Joined hand rail were removed in each doorway in each car for easier loading of passengers, Bikes, Wheelchairs and large Baggage.

Note 5. Caltrain purchased the originally leased 15 Virginia Railway Express cars in 2000.
Note 6. Cars refurbished in 2001
Note 7. Luggage rack installed in place of wheelchair space. Wheelchairs are no longer accommodated by this car.
Note 8. Ex Chicago North Western / Metra cars leased by Caltrain.
